ANOTHER OF the Meander Valley’s young high achievers is off to university, thanks to the Deloraine and Districts Community Bank® Branch Tertiary Scholarship.

2015 scholarship winner, Maighan Brandwood, of Deloraine has enrolled at the University of Adelaide in a Bachelor of Development Studies, a degree not offered in Tasmania.

While studying, she will be exploring global issues including poverty and human rights.

Maighan hopes this degree will allow her to pursue a career with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the United Nations or a nongovernment organisation.

The Scholarship is valued at $5,000.
