WANT TO HELP OUT IN VANUATU?

Deloraine Rotary are looking for volunteers to head to Vanuatu in August to spend two weeks assisting with the construction of a multi-purpose building in a village on the island of Espiritu Santo

The building will provide a workshop area for locals to build boats to replace those lost in the recent cyclone. It will have solar panels to power the ice-making system which chills fish (the locals’ main source of protein and income), provide septic toilets for the villagers, whilst the roof will provide clean drinking water for the village.

If you are a builder, have some plumbing expertise or are a very good handy man, your skills are needed.

This is a rare opportunity for the right people to not only help out this impoverished community that is battling to overcome what mother nature has thrown at them, but to also experience the Melanesian lifestyle and warm-heartedness of the local villagers.
