THE ROTARY Club of Deloraine has made a donation of $10,000 towards the purchase of a new bus by Giant Steps, an independent school based in Deloraine. It is the only specialised school for autism in Tasmania.

“The old bus was nearing the end of its life” said Tim Chugg of Giant Steps “and we decided to go for a larger 21 seat bus which eliminates the double trips we were doing to Devonport and Launceston to collect students.”

“It saves on costs and travel time but, importantly, opens the possibility to having more students,” commented Tim.
