QUAMBY FLY Fishers Club is holding its 7th Annual Open Day at the Meander Hall on Sunday 6th September from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

A warm invitation is extended to anyone currently involved in fishing, and those who would like to get involved in this wonderful pastime.

Quamby Fly Fishers Club is based at Deloraine on the Meander River in the central- north of Tasmania - a forty-minute drive west of Launceston or equal travelling distance east of Devonport. Just 15 minutes away is Huntsman Lake and the Central Plateau Lakes in the Highlands are only an hour away.

People attending the Open Day will be able to obtain advice from experienced Club member.

Demonstrations will cover fly tying and entomology, casting, knots, gear selection, cleaning and filleting, where and when to fish, etc.

There will also be ample time for practice of some of these activities under expert tuition.
