Rod Plunkett, President of the Westbury Bowls Club, said that he and the members were extremely pleased with the club’s success last season.

The Saturday Division 4 pennant team won at both the Association and State levels, and Division 7 clinched the Association one. In their first year of competition, Thursday’s Division 4 also secured the pennant.

Mr Plunkett explained that with close to 80 members, Westbury will field four Saturday teams and two Thursday teams for the 2015/16 pennant season.

He also advised that the club would be holding their Opening Day on Sunday, the 20th September. It is a 1.00 pm for 1.30 pm start and members are requested to bring a plate.
