ALPACAS ARE born with a need to guard their own from predators such as wild dogs and foxes.

This trait is put to good use by farmers on the mainland to assist in the protection of other stock by keeping Alpacas in the herd.

Deloraine is hosting an Alpaca Expo at the Deloriane Show Grounds on the 2nd April from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Some alpacas will be for sale and various demonstrations held throughout the day.

A small fashion parade courtesy of the Alpaca Shoppe will also be a feature of the day. All welcome.
