POWER SUPPLY to the residents of Deloraine and surrounding areas were affected on Easter Saturday as a power pole failed in Tower Hill Street, Deloraine.

The consequent power outage lasted for twelve hours and forty one minutes and left many residents without power during this time.

A rotten pole fell causing the outage and the street was closed as emergency services attended to the situation.

There were no reports of injury and a new power pole was subsequently installed.
