FOOTBALL IS the word with the Prospect Hawks Junior Football Club commencing a Mini League program for children turning seven or eight years old in 2016.

The Prospect Hawks U8 Mini League is a new pathway program for graduating AFL Auskickers or other new players. The Mini League is affiliated with the Hawthorn Football Club and is a pathway into the NTJFA with the Prospect Hawks Junior Football Club U9 roster program.

Children who play AFL football with the Prospect Hawks U8 Mini League can enjoy the benefits of being active, improving their football skills, meeting new friends and playing against other U8 players in their local community on Friday evenings between 5.30pm and 7.30pm at Prospect Park.

The cost of registration for the season is $100 per player, which includes a pair of hawks shorts, socks and a trophy amongst other benefits, such as 15 game nights and an AFL Half Time experience at Hawthorn v Fremantle in May.

The program is a new initiative and has been supported by the Meander Valley Council’s Community Grants program.

For more information or to register please call the Prospect Hawks Registrar Daniel Smedley on 0418 114 414.
