After a couple of false starts it was finally dry enough for WinterFire to go ahead. The event attracted a crowd of 750 people.

A highlight of the evening was the burning of the Viking Ship constructed by Steve Shaylor-Appleton, a flautist led the lantern parade, oohs and ahhs were raised by the fireworks and slide show.

Despite setbacks the Committee is aiming for bigger and better things next year.
