THE WESTERN Tiers Film Society (WTFS) will screen “Youth” on Saturday, 10th December at 7.30pm, Little Theatre, Deloraine.

Two lifelong friends have different ideas about how to spend what remains of their lives.

They’re staying in a hotel with Fred’s daughter, Lena, who’s been abandoned by her husband for a younger woman.

The mood of resigned melancholy is offset by the commanding performances of Caine and Keitel and by the film’s sumptuous visuals and music.

The Western Tiers Film Society screens movies at the Little Theatre Cinema in the Meander Valley Performing Arts Centre, Deloraine, starting at 7:30p.m. sharp on the second Saturday of each month.
