Anyone would be forgiven for thinking that Westbury had become the centre of the universe, with two major events being staged on the same day. Pearns Steamworld Festival and the Westbury Show vied for supremacy by providing first class shows that attracted a record number of visitors, (Pearns 4,000 and Westbury Show 3,500).
