ADDING YET more diversity to Deloraine’s craft and cultural reputation is successful handmade textile and clothing producer SHANDI Art2Wear’s relocation from St Marys in Tasmania’s North East.

Shandi is owned and operated by Shenn Woodward and Andi Mara who individually contribute their creative talents to their products.

Shenn creates apparel by combining a variety of fabrics and quality preloved materials. Each is individually designed and constructed, featuring rich textures and detailing.

Andi produces one-of-a-kind knitted items using a variety of machines and his own original stitches and patterns. He is following a family Indonesian tradition, but at the same time is creating his own style and techniques.

His talent as a drummer, recognized by UNESCO, dovetails with his knit wear creations, and will be an added benefit to the local musicians.

Both collectively focus on handmade, hand woven, multi-textile, art pieces to wear, such as winter weight warm coats, jackets and ponchos et cetera.
