ON 19TH August, the newly completed Bus Shelter was lowered onto and secured to its pad on William Street, ready for use by the community. The old one was removed after being damaged by a fallen tree several years ago.

Thanks must go to the Lions Club of Westbury who had built it in Ivan French’s workshop over several weeks, and to those who saw the project through the building, planning and approval stages.

“This has been an unusual project. It has seen a non- Lions member, Daniel French, donate many hours of his time, working to ensure the project was completed to the highest standards,” said Phil Steers, Secretary of the Westbury Lions Club. “We give Daniel our heartfelt thanks - people such as him help make our community great.”

If you would like to give back to the community by completing projects such as this then contact Phil on 0419 858 880 about joining the club.
