OCTOBER 2017

THE TASMANIAN Craft Fair and The Rotary Club in Deloraine are holding an inaugural exhibition of artworks by talented young artists within Tasmania’s schools, from 1st to 30th November at the Deloraine Creative Studios in Emu Bay Road.

The Tasmanian Young Artist Awards have been launched to provide encouragement and exposure for Tasmania’s young artists and will showcase their work to an audience in the thousands.

The works of art are inspired by this year’s theme of “Contrasts”, and will be judged by Carol McLean from the Deloraine Creative Studios and Launceston artist Josh Foley.

The winners of Tasmanian Young Artist Awards will be announced at the exhibition’s opening on 2nd November, starting at 6.00pm for 6.30 pm.  One award winner is selected from the years 7 to 10, with the other from years 11 to 12.

The Rotary Club has ambitions  to make it an annual event through its Youth Services, should this year’s event prove successful.
