Deloraine recreation precinct update

MEANDER VALLEY Council will consider a report on the feasibility of a Deloraine recreation precinct early in 2018.

Mayor Craig Perkins said that a report by Deloraine Recreation Precinct Working Group and Inspiring Place consultants is close to completion.

The study was prompted by a joint sports body lobbying Meander Valley Council to establish an enlarged sports precinct housing basketball, netball, football, squash and little athletics at the Deloraine Community Complex on Alveston Drive.

The feasibility study is funded by Meander Valley Council ($50,000), Bendigo Bank ($50,000) and the State Government Community Infrastructure Fund ($30,000).
