Café & culture at Marakoopa

MARAKOOPA CAFÉ is currently enjoying its winter break, but the Café will be open for repeat screenings of Sixteen Legs in August for National Science Week.

The Café will then reopen from Sunday 1 September with new regular hours, from 10.30am–3.30pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Marakoopa’s website has been upgraded with a calendar so prospective visitors can easily see what’s on and when. Tickets can now be booked directly on the website to avoid booking fees.

Sixteen Legs will be screening everyday of National Science Week, from Saturday 10 August to Sunday 18 August. See the website for times.

James Bennett will be performing at the café on Sunday 8 September at 1.00pm.

James is an alternative roots/ folk artist from Newcastle NSW. No stranger to playing live, he plays over 100 shows per year, incorporating many different elements into his performances including Weissenborn Lap Steel, 11 and 6 string guitars, foot percussion, harmonica and a unique vocal style.
