THE HEALTH Department has said no-one will be excluded from a venue if they don’t have the COVID Check In Tas app on their mobile phone.

Venues are required to provide the app for use from 1 May but people who don’t have the app will still be able to use venues such as cinemas, churches, restaurants and pubs.

A government spokesman said, ‘No one will be excluded from participating in any activity requiring check-in, including church services, as a result of not having a phone.

‘The venue will be able to check anyone in that doesn’t have a phone and group check-ins are also permitted.’
