IT WAS glorious weather for the community cricket day at Meander on 6 March.

Christine Chilcott, Meander Hall Committee secretary, said the day was a joint effort by the Meander Hall Committee and the Meander Progress Association.

‘It is a social day to bring people together.

‘We applied for COVID-19 money from the council to support community groups, and we got some funding for the day.

‘We then put up a list on the Meander community Facebook page and at the Meander Store and Post Office, where people could put their name down for cricket or for a social outing.’
