Drugs and firearms bust at Mole Creek

Police conducted a search at a residence in Mole Creek on February 22 which resulted in three people being charged with a number of drug and firearm offences.

As a result of the search on McNeil Street, police seized a quantity of cannabis plants and cannabis products along with steroids, a pill press, 5 x rifles, 2 x pistols, 4 x homemade firearms and ammunition.

A 41-year-old Mole Creek woman will be proceeded against for minor drug offences, a 29-year-old Mole Creek man was charged with firearms and drug offences and a 42-year-old Mole Creek man was charged with cultivating a controlled plant and suppling a controlled plant.

All three will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.

Forensic analysis and further investigations will be carried out to ascertain if other people have been involved in the possession of the items seized.
