Easter fundraiser to support kids in need

This Easter, Woolworths is encouraging customers in the Meander Valley to help a family in need by donating to the Easter Fundraising Appeal in support of St Giles.

100 percent of funds raised will help St Giles to support vulnerable kids to thrive, with access to the latest equipment services focused on physical and intellectual impairments.

Running in-store and online from March 30 to April 19, 2022, customers at Woolworths Deloraine can support by simply adding a $2 Easter egg-shaped token to their shop or by making a Round Up donation at Woolworths self service check-outs.

Woolworths Store Manager, Tracie Woodward said: “Thanks to the support of the Meander Valley community we will be able to provide support to over 4000 children in need each year and are excited to do so for the next three years.

“The Easter Fundraising Appeal is a great example of how working together as a community we can collectively make a big difference to the lives of many people across Tasmania.

The local Meander Valley community has always provided generously to the Woolworths Easter Fundraising Appeal with the efforts applauded by both Woolworths and St Giles.

St Giles Chief Executive, Andrew Billing, said: “With the ongoing help from Woolworths and the support and generosity from our community, St Giles is able to change lives and provide children across Tasmania access to the specialist equipment they need to thrive.

“Together we are making a difference to the lives of so many kids and families who need our help.”

Last year Woolworths customers helped raise more than $52,000 during its Tasmanian Easter Fundraising Appeal, so the aim is to raise even more this year.
