Celebrate our volunteers at BBQ Brunch

As part of the National Volunteer Week, Arts Deloraine Inc., together with the Meander Valley Council, is hosting a free Volunteer Appreciation BBQ Brunch.

The event will be held in the new Atkins Pavilion at the Deloraine Show Grounds on Sunday, 22 May 2022, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm.

Arts Deloraine recognises with gratitude that key events could not happen without community encouragement and participation, without the support of local services and organisations, and without the commitment of their numerous volunteers.

WinterFire is a testament to how the community pulls together to create magical moments in the Valley.

The BBQ Brunch within the National Volunteer Week is a chance for all local volunteers to celebrate together and be recognised for their vital community contributions.

Whether you serve the pies at the local footy club, work on steam engines, cook lamingtons, put out fires, give time to op shops, spend days harvesting fruit for neighbours or drive the community car, all volunteers are sincerely and warmly invited to attend this BBQ Brunch.

Laura Richardson (Meander Valley Council Citizen of the Year) will speak about how volunteering brings people together and how it creates healthier communities for everyone.

The Deloraine Show Society will provide the BBQ catering for this event. The Chudleigh Hall Committee will provide morning tea sweet delights.

The Deloraine Big Band will deliver a musical backdrop.

Together, through volunteering, we are changing our community for the better.

We are Better Together. Hope to see you there!
