Winter run draws a crowd at Westbury

The Westbury Town Common parkrun is a fun, free event organised by volunteers for the benefit of everyone.

Parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.

The course is 5000m (5k) long and extends around the Westbury Town Common.

The course is run entirely on trail paths, so runners, joggers and walkers are urged to take care. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain.

Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

The run is pet friendly. For the safety of all runners, participants may run with only with one dog at your side, within reach at all times, on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead.

The inaugural Park Run was held on Saturday 30 July, 2022 with nearly 150 participants.

The event continues on a weekly basis, commencing at 9am on Saturday mornings, close to the eastern entrance of The Town Common at the corner of Mary and King Streets, Westbury.
