U3A welcomes speaker for Seniors’ Week

A good offer is difficult to refuse! When Meander Valley U3A (MVU3A) learned that funding for a Seniors’ Week celebration was available from the Meander Valley Council, the wheels were set in motion.

Plans snowballed and additional support was obtained to fund the event: a speaker and question time on a topic with a difference, Better Endings.

This will be followed by afternoon tea.

Internationally recognized end-of-life consultant and educator Annetta Mallon, PhD, will be the speaker at the Meander Valley U3A Seniors’ Week forum.

Dr Mallon, an experienced grief psychotherapy practitioner, specialises in supporting her clients through every stage of the end-of-life process.

The public is invited to this free event held on Wednesday 19 October, 2:00pm, at the Westbury RSL Club. Bookings are not required.

Why not take the opportunity to learn, meet people and enjoy afternoon tea?

In the spirit of making information available to all, MVU3A plans to have some transport available to people who need it.

For transport enquiries contact 0437 103 221 a week prior.

For enquiries about the function email meandervalleyu3a@gmail.com.

Attendees should be alert to the possibility of changes to COVID protocols.

MVU3A gratefully acknowledges support for this function by the Meander Valley Council and the Deloraine Rotary-Platt Foundation, in addition to MVU3A sponsorship by the Community Bank Deloraine and Districts.

MVU3A is part of a world-wide voluntary organisation that offers affordable learning, active and social activities for residents of the entire municipality.

For enquiries about MVU3A email meandervalleyu3a@gmail.com.
