Tassie Jak forever

Jak joined Di and Rob Robinson’s family 14 years ago, after he was found alone and living on roadkill in the Reedy Marsh Sawmill area. Dodging heavy traffic for about eight months, local residents said he was too aloof to trust efforts to befriend him.

Tree removal ‘like being released from prison,’ neighbour says

A large English sycamore tree that has been spreading misery among some Deloraine residents is no more. The tree on a Housing Tasmania easement in East Barrack Street was cut down in July with the permission of Housing Minister Michael Ferguson.
