ALL ASPECTS of writing are discussed at the Deloraine Writer’s Group meetings which are held at Deloraine House in Emu Bay Road, Deloraine.

Those attending are encouraged to bring excerpts of their own short stories, novels, plays or poetry to read to the group for positive feedback.

Over the past few months topics discussed have ranged from how judges rate poetry and short story competitions, writing dialogue and three dimensional characters. At a recent meeting, the group used fairy tales to tell the stories from a different character’s point of view.

The coordinator, Wendy Laing, said that new members are welcome to attend the meetings which run from 12 noon to 2.00 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month.
