Riverbank Easter festival

April 2017

THE EASTER Festival will be on again this year. As for the past fifteen years, it will be held by the riverbank in Deloraine on Easter Saturday.

There will be a free sausage sizzle, face painting, a wind tunnel and plenty of other activities. Circle games and various volleyball-type games invariably are popular as is the tug-of-war. Thomas the Tank engine will be running all day.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available. And there will be music.

The event, hosted by the combined Christian churches of Deloraine, is the churches’ way of sharing the joy of Easter with the local community. The festival begins at 11 o’clock and finishes at 3 o’clock on Saturday, 15th April.

The closing part of the festival is a combined Easter Day service by the river on the Sunday, 16th April.
