JULY 2017

NINE MEANDER Valley community groups are recipients of the Meander Valley Community Grants Programme for schemes benefitting their region’s entire community.

Administered by Community Enterprise Foundation™, the philanthropic arm of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, the seventh Deloraine & Districts Community Grants Programme receives a large number of applications each year.

Of the more than $45,000 recently granted by Deloraine & Districts Community Bank® Branch, Apex Club of Deloraine’s Grandstands for Community project received $8978, Western Tiers Community Club got $8000 to refurbish club facilities and Aged Care Deloraine Inc’s Meander Valley Festival of Creative Aging was granted $6,600.

$5,000 grants were each given to Westbury Agricultural Society Inc for arena seating, Chudleigh Hall Committee for heating its hall and Westbury Recreation Ground Management Committee’s Drinking Fountain Project.

$3,000 was granted to Chudleigh Agricultural & Horticulture Society’s Keeping The Kiosk plan.  $2558 went to Rotary Club of Deloraine’s Deloraine Hospital Universal Bed project and $1518 to Deloraine House Inc’s Exercise Programme for Seniors.

Since opening in 2005, Deloraine & Districts Community Bank® Branch has returned more than $1,050,000 to enhance, promote and develop the Meander Valley community; supporting community services and partnerships of which many would otherwise be financially unviable.
