OCTOBER 2017
LABOR LEADER Rebecca White has committed to upgrading road infrastructure at Christmas Hills on the Bass Highway.
“For a number of years this part of the Bass Highway, has been recommended as an area that requires work, to improve road safety and reduce crashes and trauma.
“It has been identified as a funding priority by the RACT, and the upgrade has the support of local businesses and residents.
“The work at Christmas Hills will specifically involve the installation of a centre holding bay. This will allow traffic exiting Christmas Hills and turning right to safely enter Bass Highway.
The risk associated with traffic travelling downhill will be minimised. The installation of traffic islands may also be required.”
