Meander Store café extension

Meander Store will build a $150,000 extension to its café and kitchen following Meander Valley Council’s approval of its application.

The store’s owner, Jo Frisby, said the move was to create more space for people to sit in the café. ‘It’s always well-patronised by locals,’ she said. ‘A few tourists stop at the café on their way through, and we get a few people from Deloraine, but 98 per cent of our customers are local.’

The store and café at 75 Main Road, Meander also runs the Meander Post Office service.
