Celebrating sixty years of Library love

Deloraine Library celebrated its 60th anniversary on 21 September 2022.

Established through community effort back in 1962, the library today remains an essential service to Deloraine and surrounds.

It is one of Libraries Tasmania’s 46 public libraries and is free to join, giving access to the entire state-wide collection.

A library card today provides access to eBooks, online resources, music, comics, films and so much more.

There are programs for children such as the School Holiday Program and Story Time and Author talks and other activities for adults too.

The library offers a range of learning opportunities such as help to get a car or truck licence, help with reading, writing and numbers, and help with all things digital (phone, tablets and computers).

And did you know that library fines are a thing of the past?

Here’s to another 60 years of providing information, learning support and really great reading for Deloraine.
