Violence prevention workshop

We’ve all seen violence and often turn away thinking there is nothing we could do, that we shouldn’t interfere or we may be harmed by interfering.

But if we don’t help, are we saying that what is happening is ok? Bystanders can safely confront, interrupt, or prevent violence.

The Mentors in Violence Prevention Program (MVP) workshops provide participants with specific skills to help end violence in our communities by helping us learn how to be effective bystanders.

A free workshop, facilitated by Alina Thomas, CEO Engender Equality and Anj van Rooyen, Family Violence Practitioner at Engender Equality will be held 11-4pm, Friday 19 May at Deloraine House, 112 Emu Bay Road.

Morning tea and lunch is provided.
