FREE WORKSHOPS for anyone who works with, or has an interest in caring for, the dying will be held throughout northern Tasmania in September.

Topics will include:• End-of-life care and the medicalisation of death• Whole-person care/ midwifing death• Caring for an unconscious patient• Communication, Grief & Self care.

Presenters Michael and Ann Barbato have extensive backgrounds in palliative care - Michael as a specialist physician before moving into Palliative Care Services and Ann as a counselling psychologist and bereavement counsellor.

The workshop will come to Meander Valley on Tuesday, 22nd September from 9.30am - 3.30pm at Prospect Vale Park, 28 Harley Parade, Launceston.

Other sessions will be held at Campbell Town, Scottsdale and St Helens.
