Bringing in the harvest

October 2017

UNDER THE umbrella of Deloraine House, the Meander Valley Harvest Helpers (formed this past year) has connected volunteer pickers with tree owners. The harvest is shared equally between the two and a third going to the co-op (for its emergency care and community meals, amongst other programmes).

Eleven harvests of 1,058 kg of fresh fruit and nuts were completed.  If you cannot harvest your own fruit or nut trees, or wish to be a volunteer picker, or want more information, call Deloraine House on 6362 2678 or Nan Preston on 6302 3377.
