The Club is the hub
by Karl Gammler
THANKS TO donations from countless organisations and many hardworking volunteers, the Deloraine Ex-Servicemen’s Club (RSL) has been given a new lease of life and a facelift.
The Club is now open 3 days a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and every 3rd Saturday of the month.
There is no need to be a member or ex-serviceman to enjoy old fashioned hospitality and friendly service
The Club is still able to host events (currently COVID-19 capped at 50) with monthly live music and meals. For anyone needing space to host an event, just get in touch with President, Trevor Flower, to find out about the Club’s great rates.
Steak nights are now replaced by a hearty casserole, which will leave everyone wanting more.
So if the signs are out and the door is open, drop in to say hello. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the ambience and the new outdoor setting.
Watch out for music, casserole and special event nights. Xmas dinner (traditional ham and turkey) will be held on Friday 11 December, with music by Joe Atana.
The Club thanks all Meander Valley residents for their support in keeping this iconic community hub open in the heart of Deloraine.
